Non-pesticide Bug Repellant that works!Mar 22, 2011

4 years, I've used this year round on my dogs (Cane Corsos). During the summer I lightly spray it on them once-a-week and then massage it through their coats. During the fall & winter months, once-a-month. A very small amount goes a long way. My results have been no fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, flies, etc. I've never had to buy Frontline, Advantage, BioSpot or any other topical pesticide. Instead, Eqyss smells wonderfully light and keeps their coats conditioned. The dogs love it and willingly stand still for spraying.
Here's what the label says, "A deodorant that creates a physical barrier to flies, gnats, mosquitoes. Long-lasting, natural botanical, pesticide free. Safe to breathe. Will not burn eyes. Non-toxic. Alcohol-free. Safe for human use. Cruelty-free. Environmentally friendly. Marigold spray is a unique botanical product containing no insecticides or pesticides, silicone, was or oil. Skin and hair are not damaged or dried out. It is not harmful to humans or animals. Will not burn or sting wounds. Will not stain equipment or clothes. Non-slip, can be used on saddle area. Repels dust and dirt. Anti-static. Spray body including head and ears as often as needed."
Last year, I purposely sprayed myself, clothes and then used it in the house, pet areas, toddlers room and on the carpets. I spent the whole summer without bug bites or swatting at flies. It left no stains or residue especially on my leather furniture. Wash my hands after application? Forget-about-it! It's safe for people. Skin-so-Soft was officially retired and I gave my supply away to friends as "thoughtful" gifts. This year I might tell them why.
It's expensive for a gallon. But it took 3 years to finish a 16 oz-bottle on 3 big dogs. If you're heavy on the spray then dilute it 50-50 or more. NOTE: Be careful not to buy Eqyss Premier Marigold Spray (not safe for humans) because they're not the same. UPDATE: New labeling calls it - Eqyss Premier Marigold Rehydrate Spray.

Forget the horse - the bugs love ME! I get eaten alive. This stuff is fabulous! Works and smells great. Non-toxic, no stinging, smelly, chemical coating on my skin. I can spray it directly into my face - and the horse's - and it's completely comfortable. It smells lovely and works wonderfully for me and my horse. A beautiful alternative to pesticides! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I having been using Marigold fly/grooming spray for 2 years now. I love the way it smells, and helps with sun bleaching and healthy coat. It is safe for spraying close to head and neck. People always comment on the fragrance as it is not offensive like many other insecticides. Very safe for horse and human, I highly recommend this product for the safety and well being of your horse during fly season and as well for grooming purposes.

This product works well, it won't last all day but it does the job for a while and it is not a worry for people that have kids and are worried about chemicals and the environment.
