good productFeb 01, 2011
By tyler i have chippewa boots and i work ona farm so i knew they would get dried out and/or lose their water resistance. i purchased this in order to avoid these issues and so far its has worked- i put one coat the first time and it literally only worked for a week. two coats seems to work much better- it does darken the color of the boot but i dont care. i also used this on a ducati(dainese) leather jacket i have and it made it really shiney im hoping that goes away. Between the jacket and the three total coats ive put on the boots i probably have enough for two more coats on whatever garmet- i will buy this again

Efficient conditioner.Aug 05, 2010
By Vicky B. I ordered this leather oil for my riding chaps. They get really dirty during the winter so I clean them with some glycerin soap, but it dries them. I put some of the conditioner on an old t-shirt and apply it on the leather in circular motion. I let it sink in for a little bit and do the same thing with clean fabric in order to remove the caked on oil. My chaps are clean, nourished but not greasy.

Funny that there is no actual mink oil in itOct 26, 2011

Can you believe that there is no mink oil in this product? The ingredients on the product label are listed as silicone, lanolin, and Vitamin E. Basically it is imitation mink oil. Whatever, it is not suitable for my purpose which requires actual mink oil. I'm not saying it's a bad preservative or conditioner, I'm just saying it does not have the essential ingredient that I required.
It's Mink OilOct 07, 2011
By Brandon I don't know what you would expect from a can of mink oil other than it being a can of mink oil. They don't jip you and fill the can half full or anything. This can will last you your entire life unless you treat mass quantities of leather products. I used it on my KABAR USMC Fighting Knife's handle and sheath, a pair of boots, and I have been rubbing it into my wooden gunstocks. It worked like it should.

Mink Oil Ruins Shine on Fine LeatherNov 28, 2011
By Medici Don't ever use this stuff on nice new shoes and boots. You won't be able to polish them and getting this stuff off is very difficult if not impossible. It will give you dull, extremely dull, boots or shoes and will also darken even dark leather.
It may be ok for work boots and equipment that you don't want to shine, but it really is not for use on fine leathers. Other water resistant coatings should be considered, or none at all, just polish, anything but mink oil.
